On Sunday 13th September 2026 we held a very enjoyable and successful Garden Party Lunch with a German theme.
Committee Member Debbie Pickford once again pulled out all the stops to produce a wonderful selection of dishes fit for a monarch hosted at her own house and garden. The food was all German themed and included a number of specialities from our very own new cookbook Twin Towns – Shared Recipes. Simply delicious! Huge thanks to Debbie and her friends for providing such a lovely lunch.

There were some 20-plus guests. The weather wasn’t wonderful but the occasional slight shower did not dampen spirits, and everyone enjoyed the excellent spread and the company of friends both old and new.

The feast found a fitting finish with a desert choice of Black Forest Gateau, mini-Pavlovas and Bayley’s Cherry Cream (from the new recipe book).
